Friends, Whole house (or whole room) humidification to 42% would be best for the piano, but it is my understanding is that it can cause serious damage to the house with unseen condensation in the walls. Where the weather gets colder, the danger is greater, so this may not be a concern where it is both hot and dry. Personally, I would do some serious research into this possibility before running the risk of serious lawsuits 10-20 years down the line for having recommended this approach. I didn't read all the posts on this subject, so if someone already mentioned this please forgive me. And if I'm wrong, I would like to know that, too.
