What a great idea! Why not take it one step further, and cover the entire piano with green felt? Maybe maroon would be better, to give it that nice mahogany look. Once saw a Knabe grand that had been covered completely in formica. Made the piano very heavy. You could clean and polish it with Fantastic, though.
