Tuning the Duplex (was ...Capo)

Hammers have to be filed. Actions have to be regulated,Duplex scales have to 
be tuned, just as the speaking length has to be tuned independantly of the 
other procedures involved in piano technology. What seems to be lacking here 
is the awareness that the Duplex Scale can and should be tuned. Once that 
option is integrated into a piano technician's knowledge, the door to 
obtaining a singing tone opens. A piano with a duplex scale design can never 
achieve its full potential until the duplex scale IS IN TUNE.
