Actually, this year Sept and Oct were a bit on the slow side, then all of a sudden Nov comes along and I can hardly keep up with the calls. I could never figure out the cycles and why people call when they do. Some are easy to figure out like hot summer months being slow and increasing chaos towards Christmas, but there are times for two or three weeks when no one calls and then the dam breaks with constant calls. It's as if they all got together and had a meeting to decide when they will call the tuner. It would be nice to spread it out more evenly, but such is the business. Also, something I have learned is to avoid the temptation of sending out reminder cards when things are slow in order to stimulate some calls. It doesn't work. If people aren't calling, the aren't calling. However, if I send reminders out when I am busy, then most will call and schedule. Go figure.
