Ideally, of course, both the harmonium and piano should have been tuned to 
this week's pitch standard and temperament choice. Easy to say, hard to do. 
Early this year, someone brought a harmonium by to see if I could tune it. 
It sounded truly wretched, but a little disassembly showed that it would 
have taken me days of further disassembly, tuning, and reconstruction to 
make it any better. The reeds just weren't intended to be easily accessible 
like those in a pump organ. Not too well made, but very shiny. He declined 
to fund further research.
