Hi Terry, this is not always the technicians fault. I have many times run into customers who told me that someone had replaced the action when all they did was file the hammers. Customers do not always understand our terminology or what we do, no matter how painstaking our explanations, and a year or two down the road, especially if there is any problem with the piano, it becomes somehow a 'complete rebuild', rather than the best one could do for the $200 the customer was willing to spend. fwiw.
