(Sorry, hit the send button before I signed my other post.) Thanks to all those who responded to my post on the steinway defect. It has given me good direction on how to proceed. The owner will be getting in touch with the dealer and then contacting me. I have given them Pauls name and number in the San Diego area although they would somewhat like to deal with one tech so I may be traveling. (If they agree to my price.) The pianos are 5 years old but I am not exactly sure when they were bought. They are anniversary edition "L"s personally signed by Heinrich Steinway. Unfortunately, the pianos are played about as often as they are tuned. Seems a shame. As far as the warranty issue; if I had dropped a quarter mil on pianos and the dealer failed to fix a defect, I'd have more than a few words with the dealer and Steinway. I'll let everyone know the outcome as it unfolds. Louis Verkoelen PTG Associate Big Bear City, CA
