Ron, great post regarding this subject. It turns out I can be a softy with the crew since I was a part of them at one point in my illustrious playing career. Color me stupid. The last person to comment on the instrument being fun to play was Tony Bennett's current Pianist(not Ralph Sharon)...Lee Musiker, I believe.
