But if they pull out their credit card just as they are ready to pay the bill, you can't do that. I don't think you would appreciate it if a store or restaurant would add 3% to the bill when they find you are paying with a credit card. If anything, you can do it the other way around, and do like the gas stations used to do, and give those who give you cash a 3% discount.
