What Gives?

I keep trying to get on the chat line and the derned thing either "g-line"
or k-line"s me! Then it disconnects me from the chat line. The infor says I
have a bunch of "...files open". This is in conjunction with my firewall
alarm going off. So, their thingee is working! What can I do to close the
files, etc.?
