Actually, from a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood; you'd get two panels.
The material you would have left over, counting for the kerf, would be:
One piece measuring 48" x 43 7/8" and another piece 52" x 10 1/4".

You can get mahogany-faced finish-grade laminate or you can stain a 
birch-faced laminate to match the color.

Or you can go with a luan and cover them with your favorite designer fabric 
or vinyl covering.
