fresh grooving?

Terry,

Yes, I've noticed this, but I just assume I didn't take off enough felt.
Probably sanding the hammers fluffed the felt so it looked like all the grooves
were removed but in reality were not.  Since I am wary of taking off too much
felt, I don't usually do the job over.
