My screwdriver tip is exactly the right width to fit in that cavity.  It fits 
from one point of the hexagon (pentagon, whatever) to it's neighbor on the 
opposite side.  It's from Schaff (combination handle screwdriver tip) so some 
of you may also find that this works.  I found out through necessity, having 
driven some 30 miles to get to a church tuning only to find the lid bolted 
down.
