Terry: You can't just change the KR and run the formula. Since a change in the KR will effect the BW and thus the SWR you have to change it all the way through the formula. Remember that with an unequal balance rail position you are not just trying to make the KR's equal, but the total ratio equal. Moving the capstan for the sharps will put the contact point on the wippen heal in a different place and thus change the effect of the wippen lever compared to the naturals. In short, to make the sharps and naturals equal, they will not have equal key ratios.
