Damper felt-Chickering

Thanks to all who replied to my question about straightening wedge damper
felt in a Chickering Quarter Grand.  The underlever stop rail was raised and
the sustenuto rod was removed.  This allowed me to swival the damper heads
upside down and straighten them with a needle nosed pliers.  They were easy
to pinch between my thumb and first finger to reshape and reposition.  Some
trimming of their length became necessary.  It went well.
