Hi folks... as long as we are on about dampers... I had to trim a set of dampers on a Hamburg C today, and thought I might get some input on how different techs go about this. I took each of the wedges out one at a time and trimmed along the string marks, then polished the wires and reinstalled. I've seen techs trim with dampers in the piano on a few occasions, but the back half of the damper cant be done this way... or what ? -- Richard Brekne RPT, N.P.T.F.
