An upright? I just removed my first two days ago. Mine was a Cable old upright.

Two long bolts at the bass end that go down toward and almost to the keybed, and one on the treble end, none in the middle. One big hose on treble end, one tiny hose near center. Two leather-nutted arm linkage thingees. One yank.

Mine also had two or three little leather-nutted linkage arm going to the action (sustain, etc.).

It was so easy, that I may consider simply removing the whole darn thing next time I tune one of these back-killers. :-)............:-(
