Band Saws/"Kick-Back"

Joe,
    I agree that a bandsaw can be just as dangerous but kickback is not the
same as a blade snapping. I'm sure we've all experienced or heard about someone
else's experience of a piece of wood being hurled across the shop at a
terrifying speed or worse yet, right back at US if we happen to be standing in
the wrong place. A bandsaw simply cannot do this as the cut is down into the
table. This was the premise for my comment.
