Muting high treble

Don:

I have no research data as you do, but my instinct has always been
that not strip muting is better.  In addition, there's the time spent
putting in the strips and double checking intervals (as you set the
middle string, then as you finish the unison.)  I used to use 1 strip
for the temperament area (F3 - A4) when I was strictly an aural
tuner, now I tune unisons as I go tuning from F3 - C8, then E3 - A0,
checking intervals only after the unison is finished.
