List,

Several of you probably saw in the news that a train derailed here in
Minot, ND in January. Eight cars filled with anhydrous ammonia spilled and
caused quite a lot of damage, both to person and property. The ammonia
covered the city in the form of a dense fog. Many people are asking if the
anhydrous ammonia will have any damaging affect on their piano. I am not
certain what the answer to this is, so I am asking the list if anyone has
had any experience with something like this. This certainly isn't a common
occurrence, but I thought I would see if any of you would have some
thoughts on the matter.
