Speaking of "dunce of the year" contestants for moving, I think that we have=
=20
a winner (thankfully this wasn't our mistake).

A local town was having their town hall renovated and needed to get their tw=
o=20
grand pianos moved out of the town hall during renovations. We were called=20
to move them. After encouraging them to move them to our storage facility=20
(or at least another climate controlled storage facility) they decided to=20
move them to the highway garage where both pianos were left on their sides.=20=
=20
Once all the renovations were done we were called for the return move back t=
o=20
the town hall, but when discussing the move with the coordinator for the tow=
n=20
he was insistant that one piano would be set up and he wanted one piano to b=
e=20
left on its side indefinitely as they were going to be trying to sell it. =20
After a small discussion with the man, all the time, being adament that the=20
piano be left on its side, he finally told us what was really up...while the=
=20
piano was on its side at the highway garage, they decided to try to sell the=
=20
piano and so attempted to show the piano. And obviously anyone who has neve=
r=20
before touched a piano can set up a grand piano, No Problem! Why hire a=20
piano mover at all! They put ALL the legs on and the lyre and then tipped=20
the piano off the board to set it up. Needless to say, the bass leg could=20
not take the stress so it snapped, then the piano shifted and was dropped th=
e=20
rest of the way crushing the treble leg and lyre. So it wasn't that he=20
didn't want to set it up, he couldn't...he only had one leg.=20
