The following came to me from another tech, any answers?

message: I have a client (a private elementary school) who recently
purchased a Boston upright. They (the music teachers) and I are hearing a
harsh vibrating sound in the middle of the piano. Subsequent visits to the
piano showroom produced the same sound in most other uprights.

The technical staff of the dealer tried changing strings, even changing the
size of the wire. They then went to a different dealer and heard the same
sound in some of their verticals. Is this common? Does it disappear with
age? Has anyone else noticed this? I'd be interested in your feedback.
Thank You.
