---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Hi Jason, Evidently none of your email servers will have anything to do with my server, so I'll send this via pianotech. 3986.3137 is a conversion factor between the ratio of an interval and the cents width of that interval. log10(Hz of interest/Hz of reference) X 3986.3137= Width of interval in cents also works when actual frequencies are reduced to ratios: ie; a just third is (5/4)ratio. log10(5/4)X 3986.3137=386.32 cents , or 400 cents minus the 13.68 cents of the "ET" third.....Is this helpful?
