List, A customer of mine sheepishly admitted to having spilt an entire cup of tea into her piano. Fortunatly none of the tea touched a single action part (somewhat of a miracle!). However, the soundboard, bridge, and keybed were wet. I mopped up what I could get to with paper towels, used a hairdryer on low heat to evaporate any tea on the wood surface, and applied some proteck to the bridge pins and strings to try to displace any remaining water. I will return in a week or so to check the piano once again. I know some of you have had similar calls. Do you have any further suggestions? Larry Beach, RPT Vancouver BC, Canada
