Hi John,
                I agree with you completely, a ball park after touch, to
satisfy most players, is 1mm roller/knuckle clearance at full dip.  Assuming
the F/R felt punching is in good condition.  <G>  Any thing more is lost time,
and lost space. Nothing significant is happening.
