As long as the nickel plating doesn't cover the threaded area of the pins,
then it is cosmetic.  Nickel Denro pins are blue threaded.  Nickel Diamond
pins are nickel all the way down. Beyond that, nothing wrong with cosmetics.
I think the blued pin looks better on an older piano, but that's just my
taste.
