I tuned a 1903 Sohmer 9B (about 6') with bridge agraffes last week,
something I hadn't noticed before since I am not always observant.  The
fact that the piano sounded awful probably had nothing to do with the
bridge agraffes, since the whole thing was a total mess.  Except the
case, which at one time was quite exquisite.  The owner had it
sandblasted and refinished.  It's interesting to look at, as long as you
don't regard it as a musical instrument or know anything about
refinishing.
