Graeme & Greg: Odd, two similar requests like this! John Ross mentioned a great idea - go electronic - simply adapt needed parts from a player. Brian Trout went mechanical - knee lever from a reed organ. My thought was similar. I think many of the 200 year old type pianos had knee levers. Look at some drawings of these contraptions. Maybe Steve Birkett would have a good idea on this one. Maybe you could even simply order a lever from one of the pianoforte kits?
