Consider this: The easiest thing to convert from piano to piano is something that doesn't attach to the piano at all. Picture an inverted T with an asymmetric cross, with the long leg bent perpendicular to both the stem, and the cross. The stem of the T is about 50cm long and straps to the inside of the right leg, with appropriate padded forms. The foot sits on the short side of the cross, about 12cm long, with a 5cm spacer under the outboard end as a pivot. The long side of the cross, extending about 10cm left and then forward about 18cm, has a padded inverted U that straddles the damper pedal. Rocking the leg left depresses the pedal. The leverage ratio is negotiable by modifying the lever dimensions to suit during fabrication, or could be made adjustable at a sacrifice to simplicity and durability. Ron N
