water damage

Not really. About 1985 or "86, Rochester MN experienced a flash flood that
put a lot of pianos in water. Some only a few inches, others were submerged.
The water rose and fell quickly, so almost none of them soaked for days. A
local talented technician was asked what people could do and he recommended
what you posted. My guess is that the majority of the pianos not submerged
came through it and are still in use. I see one now and then by the tell
tale water line across the sound board. The ones that were dunked had
actions falling apart and a myriad of case and back frame problems.
