vacuums

Hi list,

I used the Eureka for years. The vac kept going and going but the wheels did
not. Now I carry a 2hp/6gallon shop vac in my van. It's a little bigger than
I would like but it has all the power I need while out in the field (or the
homes as the case may be). I keep it in a plastic milk crate.

Sometimes if the piano is just a little dusty I will ask the client if I can
borrow their vac rather than run out to get the shop vac. As a result, I've
had the chance to try just about every brand of vacuum out there. I find
that most little hand helds just don't cut it. There is also a smaller model
shop vac (1.5 hp I think) but I wanted the extra power. My vac not only
sucks, it really blows! Enough to blow out a pretty dirty action (this is
done outside). With a stiff bristle brush and some Spurlock soundboard
tools, I can get a piano pretty clean (at least dusted) in about 15 minutes.
