Unsupported BW target

When weighing off an action in which assist springs are used, what do you 
use as the BW target.  My thought is that if the assist springs will 
compensate for, say, 9 grams of FW (WW x KR = 9), and my target was 36 g BW, 
I would weigh off at 45g without the spring connected, then attach the 
springs and adjust the tension to get the 36 BW.  Or would you set the 
unsupported BW a bit lower, say 43g, in order to leave a small amount of 
weight from the wippen on the capstans.
