   Drill the correct size hole for a very tight fit in the brass stock while 
the stock is extremely hot,  then insert the cold metal piece and allow the 
shrinkage to tighten the joint.  There are also some "Thread-locker" 
compounds that hold up to 500 degrees, I think.
