Ok, I'll bite...since you have a lap-top, RCT?, what are you using for
accounting? By printing out an invoice and receiving your check, you then
enter in your accounting program the received check amount? All you have
to do is deposit the $ at the end of day/week and I suppose enter the
deposit in your program? What are you using to keep track of
customers/pianos/scheduling?

I only invoice my commercial accounts as accounts receivable. Rarely do I
give a receipt for tunings...canceled check is your receipt...I do my
accounting when I record the deposit of checks in my bookeeping program
(quickbookspro)...misc. cash receipts.

I also use PT-Biz & carry a Canon portable printer, model BJC-85 - physical

size is about 2"H / 6"D / 12"L & weighs 3 - 4 pounds. As far as printers
go,
it's pretty small and relatively affordable (< $300), but it's actually
bigger and heavier than my laptop (Sony Vaio Picturebook 1"H / 6"D / 9"L).

Nice part is no paper invoices & no bookwork when I get home.

And with what kind of printer? Do they have any that fit in your shirt
pocket? Mine would be tough to fit in my trunk!
