Hi Clyde, Standard weather informational tools like a sling hygrometer have a "tolerance" of + or - 5%. The little gauges are very dependant upon the *range* they are in. For example the radio shack gauge claims + or - 7% but *only* from 25% to 40%, outside that range the tolerance becomes much larger + or - 15%. (I read these figures some years ago so this information may be dated and therefore suspect) The best electronic cheap gauge I have found is a bionaire. It matches my sling hygrometer very well.
