Damp Chaser in old upright

Hi Keith,

It was on a grand piano. The soundboard cracked. It had been plugged in
backwards for many years. I always check each installation.

The other occasion was when a (former) client purchased *just* a humidifier
with no humidistat and plugged it it. The bridge on a Yamaha U1D developed
hair line cracks and the wippen center pins began to "waltz" out of place.
This of course was NOT a complete system. The strings didn't seem to be rusty.
