The tell-tale sign is that the sender's email address is slightly altered with the addition of an underline prior to the name. If something arrives in this way do not open the attachment but enquire of the sender if it is genuine (in a separate message, do not click 'reply' on the suspect message) Some of these viruses sit on your computer noting all your key strokes and email themselves back to the originator. In this way they may learn your passwords or credit card numbers etc. How could someone who is clever enough to write these viruses want to do this when they could probably be first class programmers in the real world?
