Has anyone tried to find out? Has anyone raised rates too high and then had to
back off? Or are we operating on supposition? It's the technicians with the
highest rates in my area who appear to be the busiest. There is a small minority
of mostly irregular customers ("every ten years whether it needs it or not") who
seek out the lowest rate and have no loyalty. Hardly the foundation for building a
business. The rest don't expect us to be a bargain compared to other crafts and
are not going to go to the Yellow Pages for a difference of a few bucks.
