Patrick, You indicate that these knuckles were/are a problem. Would you please share your experience with them? Specifically what problems did you encounter? How heavily used were the actions using them. (Incidentally, when running a test of this sort, it is not all that unusual to mix things up a bit. A bit unusual to send them out of the plant this way, however.)
