Unfortunately, you'll always find plenty of people who will respond to a legitimate question not with an answer, technique or tip but with a put down designed to make you feel inferior for having to work on such a lowly thing as a [insert virtually any piano ever made]. All you need to do is see that kind of remark for what it is. The person making the remark has less knowledge skill and experience than the person posing the question, often in spite of a lifetime career in the piano service business. I was very pleased to see that several people actually addressed this subject in an appropriate manner and that virtually none of them were among the group of people who usually poison the morale of the majority with their condescension.
