Brian,

This could be one of those questions -- "Which came first, the chicken or the
egg?"

Can we assume that if you attend the conventions regularly you will reach the
top financially?  Or is it more that those who earn less feel they cannot afford
to attend the conventions?  As far as technically goes, certainly the more
interaction and education we get, the better we should be in one way or another.

I remember hearing of a technician who was not considered very good, but he made
great money.  Either he was personally charming or else a very good
businessman.  I also suspect there are terrific technicians who aren't doing all
that well financially.  I'm fairly sure there is some correlation in Dale's
statement, but I'm not sure how much.
