Hi:
Generally speaking you would have to place the vertical on its back to apply 
CA.  If you own a cradle, it is a fast 3 minutes to get the piano on its 
back.  Then you can apply the amount of CA you need and tilt the piano back 
upright-again in less than 2 minutes.  If you don't own one, it is a very 
good investment.  I have used mine hundreds of times and it has paid for 
itself many times over.
