They can now. It's a vortex thing that adds more lift than the "standard"
theories allowed for. If I can find the recent magazine, I'll quote the
source. I'd also like to see anything authoritative, rather than anecdotal,
that makes a case for verdigris being mold. This has been discussed to
death, but nobody seems to have any real data.
