Hi Gordon,
    The old "Y" connector had two incarnations.  
It's possible that replacing the one you have 
with the newer one will solve the problem.

| This customer tells me that if both lights are 
    blinking and she adds water to one tank, both 
    lights go out.  The two tanks are independent.
    Any ideas as to why things changed?
