The virus has been reported in every western state except Washington and 
many eastern states too. The CDC has an excellent page on it 
at   http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/hanta/hps/index.htm  or 
alternatively, just type "hanta virus" into the address bar of IE and other 
page suggestions will pop up.

One thing to note this time of year is that it's been found in all of the 
National Parks in the USA and hikers and campers are at a somewhat higher 
risk. The CDC page has a link to an illustrated Park Service pamphlet on 
how to keep yourself reasonably safe from it while out enjoying the summer.
