It's been ages since I've agreed to work on one, but the guy's a neighbor and insists "it's in great shape!" I'm going to go look at it later this afternoon and probably deflate his high opinion of the instrument but in the meantime: Does anyone remember what issue of the PTJ Ralph Long (and perhaps others) had written a brief primer for working on these little cottage pianos? And for those who point me to the list search engine, any hints on when the best posting on the subject came up (before I read 100 "boy I hate bird cage" posts). TIA, Patrick Draine
