Hi Jim,

Don't recall that I ever have, but it does raise a question. Was the glue
intact, or all crunched up? Since hide glue is very brittle, and not real
widely recommended as a gap filler, it seems like it might be a fair
indicator of block movement relative to the plate flange through the years.

Then there's that bridge cap.  8^)
