This is the sander we use to sand the spruce soundboards at various stages of their manufacture. It is about 99.9% pure spruce with an occasional piece of maple being sanded for whatever reason. No, it is not self-rising, more like self-settling. Whatever the dust collector does not get pretty much settles anywhere it wants.... Del
