Unusal soundboard ribs

Hi, I came across a old J.B. Crammer piano about 5',  it to me had a novel
rib placement, they are spaced about 1" apart and have a definate V shape to
them, very different to the regular spacing and shape that ribs have. With
this, the piano had good sound and tone.
