This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/mixed attachment Dear List, Last Thursday I appraised a Knabe grand, 5'3 12" without a serial number anywhere I could find or think to look. All indications I could find made me believe the piano comes from the '20s or '30s. There is a case number, 319 D. Action is standard fare, scaling is standard for Knabe. It is an interesting case, the action needs restoring, the board, bridges and block are in amazing condition (good) for a Knabe. The bass string need replacing. I would appreciate any information anyone can provide about the design, the age (or era). The piano is for sale (with matching original bench). Two photographs are being sent, in separate parts, A and B. High resolution photos are available to be sent privately if anyone is interested. SOMEONE out there would like to have a piano looking like this one. If you know anything you can post me personally. Thank you one and all.
